Associate Professor at the University of Rouen in France from 1999, I also worked as a teacher researcher at the University of Algiers in Algeria, at Mauritania Nouakchott and in La Rochelle in France. I directed the Department of Geography at the University of Rouen as Deputy Director from 2008 to 2011 and as Director from 2012 to 2014. Currently, I chair the Association of Geographers of Haute-Normandie. Geographer physicist by training, I am PhD graduate twice, in 1986, in air pollution and in 1999, in climatology. I am a specialist in the study of climate change in sub-Saharan region and in North Africa. I also work on vulnerability and adaptation of cities to current climate change. Since 2009, I actively participate and coordinate research projects on variability and management of water resources (Volubilis, Tassili, Utique and PHC Maghreb). I am also co-founder of the network and of the magazine "Water and climate in the Maghreb".
